Farewell to Two Families
Sabbath 28th August 2011 was a day of mixed emotions for the members of Cloughmills congregation as they bade farewell to two families moving overseas.
After morning worship, everyone enjoyed a superb lunch prepared and served by the ladies and, as usual, this was accompanied by much chat and fellowship.
Rev. Peter and Mrs Jennifer Jemphrey paid warm and heartfelt tributes to Rev. Andrew and Mrs Lytle, preparing to move to Nantes, France, and also to Mr and Mrs Philip Robinson, who, with their children, Keziah, Jude, Joanna and Melody, are moving to Durham, England.
It was clear that the congregation was losing two very capable and gifted families but our loss is someone else’s gain and we wished them well as they commenced a new sphere of life and work.

Both families were presented with a photograph of the congregation and local places of interest by our senior member, Mrs Mattie Carson. Mrs Sandra Aicken and Miss Hilary Kennedy handed over gifts to Mrs Heather Lytle and Mrs Lynn Robinson, while Mrs Dorothea Young presented gifts to the Robinson children.
The two men responded on behalf of their families, not only for the kindness and generosity shown but also for the gift of fellowship and teaching enjoyed in the congregation.
As a church family we miss these folk but we rejoice in the provision God has made for them.
